Golden Tips Tenuis

About this coral

Golden Tips Tenuis is an SPS coral in the Acropora-type group, commonly kept for its delicate, branching growth form and reef-friendly presence in a high-energy reef tank. Use it as part of a mixed SPS aquascape where you can provide strong light and strong, consistent flow, and where water chemistry and stability are prioritized to help it settle in and maintain healthy growth.

Features:

• Acropora-type SPS placement is best in the upper/mid portions of the tank where lighting is brightest
• High, steady flow supports the coral’s feeding and helps reduce buildup on the branches
• SPS aquascapes benefit from stable, well-established water chemistry, since sudden swings are stressful to Acropora-type corals
• A reef-style, mature system with consistent husbandry helps support long-term appearance and recovery after handling
• Branching SPS are typically sensitive to touching or low-flow zones, so plan your aquascape to prevent shading and dead spots
• Best kept alongside other SPS under similar lighting and flow conditions
