Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)

The Purple Tang is a striking saltwater fish, displaying vibrant blue to deep purple hues with a bright yellow tail and yellow accents on its pectoral fins. Originally native to the coral reefs of the Red Sea, its range now includes the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and waters near Sri Lanka. Typically solitary, it may occasionally form schools in the southern Red Sea. Adults can grow up to 10 inches in length.

Highly valued for its vivid coloration, the Purple Tang is one of the most sought-after species among saltwater aquarium enthusiasts.
